The Sustainable Ocean Initiative (SOI) and Ecologically and Biologically Significant Areas (EBSA) are important areas of the marine and coastal Programme of Work at UN Biodiversity. Over the course of half a decade, I have been lucky to have worked on a myriad of products that aid in communicating the importance of cross-sectional and inter-regional collaboration to better preserve and sustainably use our ocean.
